Pure Badger Brushes

This is the most common grade of badger hair used in shaving brushes. Normally taken from the underbelly of the badger the hair is dark in colour, the hair can be stiff to the touch but will soften with use.

Some guys choose a Pure hair brush as the stiffness is good for exfoliating the skin and lifting the bristles of the face during the lathering process. The relative stiffness of the hair can be a help to those who use a shaving soap in preference to a shaving cream
